What's New in ISO/CASCO Working Groups?

WG 21 made progress with the revision of ISO/IEC 17021:2011 and developed ISO/IEC DIS 17021-1 (Draft International Standard), with the DIS ballot closing in May.

WG 30 completed its work on ISO/IEC TS 17027 that specifies terms and definitions related to the competence of persons used in personnel certification. English and French versions of the document habe been published.

WG 36 completed the revision of ISO/TS 22003 in December 2013. As this technical specifcation cross-references numerous clauses of ISO/IEC 17021:2011, a combined document that includes the ISO/TS 22003 clauses and related normative parts of ISO/IEC 17021:2011 was published in March.

JWG 39 completed its work on ISO/IEC TS 17021-5 and the document was published April 1 (no fooling).

Upon requests from ISO Technical Committees, ISO/TC223 and ISO/TC241, two new joint working groups (JWGs) have been created in 2014.

JWG40 (CASCO/TC223) was created to develop ISO/IEC TS 17021 - 6, Competence requirements for auditing and certification of business continuity management (BCM) systems and JWG41 (CASCO/TC241) was created to work on ISO/IEC TS 17021 - 7, Competence requirements for auditing and certification of road traffic safety (RTS) management systems. Both held their inaugural meetings in March 2014.
