ANAB Hosts CNAS for Information Exchange

ANAB recently hosted Fu Zhigao of the China National Accreditation Service (CNAS) so the two organizations could learn about each others operations and processes for accreditation of management systems certification bodies, all in the interest of identifying opportunities for improvement.

Mr. Fu spent six weeks this year learning how ANAB operates by meeting employees, studying documents, and participating in a variety of ANAB meetings. In a summary report, Mr. Fu said he was impressed by the efficiency of ANAB’s operations, ANAB’s focus on the needs of customers, and the speed of new business development.

Mr. Fu also noted differences in the processes of CNAS and ANAB, including differences in scoping, various aspects of the assessment process, assessor management, and factors such as law and regulation, culture, and organization structure.
